The music begins by captivating dancers and dictating their moves with its robust industrial rhythms and sound palette. As the dancers help each other break free from its uniform grasp, the music moves into freeform territory and blends acoustic instruments with wisps of electronic effects and voice.

Shell of Ecstasy is a fixed media piece by Eliza Gelinas written for and choreographed by Kelsie Washington, a senior choreographer at The Hartt School of Music. The dance is titled, XIII: Is This Really You?, and was premiered on Antithesis, a Hartt Senior Dance Production, in February along with other collaborations and solo works.
